Winchester, Model 1885 Low Wall Rifle, Marked: 25 R.F., MFG. 1897, SN: 80220, Lever Action Single Shot Rifle, 26'' Octagon #1 marked barrel. The original wood stocks are very good, with numerous small contusions, scrapes & scratches the original finish. There are a dozen small notches on the top of the comb by the upper tang of the crescent metal buttplate. Ebony tipped forend. The original metal blue finish on the has toned to a even chocolate brown patina. Bore is fair, with lots of pitting & roughness amongst some visible rifling. The barrel carries an adjustable rear & pinched blade front sights. Metal crescent buttplate. The # ''1'' is stamped in front of the forend tip on the barrel, for barrel size. A solid & all original 1885 rifle. Antique No FFL Req. - Value: 500 to 1000
