Winchester, Model 1885 Low Wall Rifle, .32 WCF Cal., MFG. 1888, SN: 24964, Lever Action Single Shot Rifle, 28'' Octagon barrel. The original straight grip wood stocks are just fair, due to a 5'' stress crack emanating from the upper tang through the comb & along the right side of the stock. There is also a 3'' crack emanating from the lower tang & a 1 1/4'' crack on the left side of the wrist. There is a vintage pin repair at the wrist through both sides to tighten & strengthen the wrist. There are several minor contusions, handling marks & scratches the original finish, which has worn mostly away. The metal surfaces have all worn gun metal gray, with some areas retaining a spotty brown patina. Bore is poor to fair, with lots of pitting & roughness amongst visible rifling. The barrel carries the original adjustable rear & a long blade front sight. Metal crescent buttplate. A well worn original 1885 rifle with life remaining. Antique No FFL Req. - Value: 250 to 500
