Lymans 100th anniversary Ruger No. 1 Grade 2, 1,000 Grade 2 rifles were mfg. in 1978 to commemorate 100 years. Bbl. 28" tapered round ''D'' weight w/ scope blocks. Right side of receiver is marked Lyman 1878-1978 w/ the running buck logo. Left side is engraved LYMAN1878-1978 Centennial Edition II. Bottom of frame is marked no. L-78-0335". Has foliate scroll on both sides of receiver. Schnabel tipped forend & pistol grip cheekpiece stock of fancy black walnut w/ satin finish. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: housed in its original walnut case measuring 48 1/2" x 16 3/4" x 3 1/2''. Case has fitted green velour interior. Case contains 34 1/2" Lyman model 1938 tube scope, brass centennial medallion, hardbound book ''THE CENTENNIAL JOURNAL''. Nickel finished Lyman loading tool. Lyman mold handles. Lyman 4 loading die set, 1-20 rd box of Lyman Centennial 45-70, cleaning rod & case key. CONDITION: near mint & unused retaining virtually all original blue (showes only one flaw of a tiny pit mark near scope mount black). Wood is mint. Bore is mint, this gun has not left the original box, the small tools & coin are still sealed under factory shrink wrap, First time we have offered this one. FFL Req. - Value: 1500 to 3000
