Savage, Model 340A, CAL: 30-30 WIN, MFG: 1952-60, SN: None, Bolt Action Rifle, 22'' Round barrel. The original flat pistol grip wood stock is good & solid. The stock was cut & shortened by 2 1/4'' at one point in history, presumably for a youth hunter, & later the same piece of wood was added back on to restore to full LOP. The stock shows numerous dings scrapes & scratches to the thinning finish. The original blue/gray metal finish rates 80% overall. Bore is very good. The rifle is fitted with a weaver J. 2.5, 3/4'' scope on Weaver rings & mount, while the barrel has a Marble blank filled rear dovetail & the original ramped blade front sight. The base to the receiver sight remains, but the adjustable sliding sight has been removed. Buttstock carries a serrated plastic buttplate. Sling Swivels. Missing the detachable mag. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 150 to 300
