Sporterized Rifle, Built from a Kokura Arsenal Type 38, CAL: 6.5x257mm, MFG: 1937-41 (action), SN: 88193, Bolt Action Rifle, 20 3/4'' Round barrel. The upgraded cheeked & capped pistol grip Monte Carlo style wood stock is good & solid, but with a large missing wood chip behind the bolt at the top of the wrist. The stock has three inlaid faux ivory diamond shapes surrounded by four circles at the points. The stock also has a contrasting wood forend tip. The are some minor contusions or handling marks to the thinning & flaking stock's finish. The metal surfaces were buffed, polished & reblued, retaining 85% reblued finish. The barrel appears original, having been cut down & carrying a replaced tall blade front sight, while the receiver carries an adjustable Redfield right side mounted sight. Bore is very good. Stock carries a Pachmayr ventilated recoil pad. Replaced & modified bolt handle. Rifle is missing the magazine follower. We recommend rifle visits a gunsmith before attempting to fire to repair & confirm proper functionality, & is therefore being sold ''AS-IS'' with no returns. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 150 to 300
