Winchester, Model 62, CAL: 22 S.L.LR, MFG: 1932, SN: 6287, Pump Action Rifle, 23 1/8'' round barrel. 1st yr. production, with the early production cigar style forearm. The original straight grip wood stocks are very good & solid, however there is lots of thinning loss & wear to the original finish. The lower left side of the stock has a large area of finish loss do to chemical or moisture exposure. There are other small scrapes, scratches or contusions to the wood & finish. The original metal blue finish rates 80% on barrel & mag, with the receiver suffering from typical Winchester flaking blue to maybe 30%, with areas of loss toning to a brown patina. Bore is excellent. The barrel holds a standard adjustable rear & blade front sights. Buttstock carries the original, checkered metal buttplate. An original & still nice early production example.
