Winchester Model 62A, marked .22 S.L or L.R., MFG.1941, SN:124450, Take-down. Pump Action Rifle, 23'' round barrel. The original factory straight grip wood stocks are very good & solid despite a glue repaired stress crack that runs the length of the forend. The stock displays very nice rippled grain, which is well above average, with some minor scratches, handling marks & contusions to the original finish. The restored metal blue finish rates 80% on receiver, 90% on barrel & mag. Bore is excellent. Barrel is fitted with factory sights. Factory buttplate. WARNING, the hammer on the rifle does not stay back when pumped & therefore slam fires. The rifle may have been misassembled when reblued or may be missing a part. Therefore, this gun is being sold ''AS-IS'' as a parts rifle, with no returns, & should not be loaded or attempted to fire before being worked on by a professional gunsmith.
