Marlin, Model 39, CAL: 22 S.L.LR, MFG: 1920's, SN: S3825, Lever Action Rifle, 24'' octagon barrel. Full mag. The original scalloped pistol grip wood stocks are very good, as lightly sanded & re-oiled. The stock display fantastic rippled contrasting grain. There are two filled holes in the bottom of the pistol grip & minor contusions & handling marks remaining. The trademark bullseye is present on the bottom belly of the stock. The original metal blue finish on the barrel has worn mostly gun metal gray, with a thin brown patina developed. The tube has worn to a gun metal gray with less brown patina. The receiver is case-hardened has worn & toned mostly gun metal gray, with shadowing & muted case-colors remaining. The forend cap has an additional hole on each side from possible removal of some sort of sling provision. Bore is very good & bright, with thinning rifling. The barrel holds a replaced adjustable rear sight & blade front sight. The buttplate carries a Marlin checkered plastic buttplate. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 400 to 800
