Winchester, Model 59, .22 S. L. LR. Cal., MFG. 1930-31 SN: none, Bolt Action Rifle, 23'' barrel, An Improved upon model 58, it was introduced in 1930 & discontinued that same year, with approx. 9,200 mfg. The original pistol grip wood stock is very good & solid, with a few minor contusions & scratches. There is one larger contusion on the right side of the stock which was smoothed & filled before a layer of finish was added to the original finish. The original metal finishes rates 70%, with spotty loss due to ''Winchester flaking'' mostly on the barrel. Bore is excellent. Barrel holds an adjustable rear & standard front sights. Winchester marked plastic buttplate. Very nice original condition & rare with limited production. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 400 to 800
