The Hamilton Rifle Co. Model 27 (Tip-up Model), 22 CAL (S. & L.), MFG: 1907-30, SN: NONE, Single Shot, Tip-up Break Action Rifle, 14 7/8'' round barrel. 29 1/2'' overall length. The flat board, straight grip, walnut stained birch stocks are very good & solid despite a couple of 2'' stress cracks to the sides of the wrist. They carry the original finish, which is thinning from use &. displays a variety of scratches, dings & edge wear. The left side of stock has four large letters thinly scratched into it. The metal blue has fully toned to a brown patina, with some nick or abrasions. Steel rolled barrel over brass bore liner, 6 groove bore with 1 turn in 15''. Bore is fair to good, with light roughness amongst fairly good rifling. Blade front & early rear sight combination. ''S'' shaped trigger guard. Original steel buttplate. Needs some work or parts as the extractor does not extract shells & the rifle does not always lock-up & stay closed. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 50 to 100
