J. Stevens Arms Company, Model 1915 Favorite, .22 LR, MFG: 1916-19, SN: Q 212, Falling block Takedown Rifle, 24'' Barrel. The straight grip wood stocks are good, having been previously sanded & refinished. The left cheek has initials & symbol carved into it. There is a 2 1/2'' stress crack coming off of the upper tang & a tight 2'' hairline crack at the left side of wrist. The metal blue finish on the barrel rates 85%, while the receiver has worn to brown on the receiver. Bore is very good, intermittent roughness among strong rifling. Original adjustable rear sight & blade front sight. Hard rubber buttplate. Unknown proof stampings on the left side of receiver & barrel. A good utilitarian single shot .22 rifle.
