Izhevsk, Model: M91/30, Cal: 7.62x54mmR, MFG: 1943, S/N: 9130020952 on the receiver (nx6235 on the barrel), Bolt action rifle, 28 1/2'' barrel. The straight wrist wood stock is very good with various small nicks, dings, dents, scratches & wear from use/age. The stock has a toe replacement which was done when it was refurbished after the war. The right cheek of the stock is marked with the diagonal line in a box, which is a post war refurbishment mark. The right side of the stock above the rear sling well, is stamped with a ''1'' in a triangle cartouche. The right cheek also has a few other marks & stamps. The bottom of the stock in front of the magazine is marked ''T''. The blued metal finish rates 90% overall, with areas of thinning. The left side of the receiver is stamped with all the import marks. The top of the barrel is marked a faint hammer & sickle in a wheat wreath stamp, ''1943r'', the original Russian barrel S/N (nx6235), & the Izhevsk arrow in a triangle stamp. The bolt, magazine floor plate, & the buttplate are all S/N matched to the barrel S/N. The bore is good. Its bright with constant roughness throughout. The barrel holds a post front sight with a protective globe, & a rear tangent U-notch rear sight marked 1 to 20. the stock carries a blued steel buttplate with the barrel S/Non the upper tang. Rifle has both sling wells for use with dog collar sling attachments. Rifle has its cleaning rod. A nice example of a post war refurb Mosin. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 200 to 500
