Fabrica Nationale D'Armi Di Brescia, Model: Type I Rifle, Cal: 6.5x50mmR, MFG: 1938-39, S/N: H999, Bolt action rifle, 31'' barrel. The consigner states that this is a vet bring back rifle from WW2 and it came back with the bayonet & sling. The semi-pistol grip wood stock is very good as being lightly sanded & oiled. There are no visible cartouches on the stock. The rear barrel band retention spring is missing. The blued metal finish on the barrel has toned mostly to a brown patina with spots of original blue showing in spots. The blued metal finish on the receiver rates 60% with spots of deep original blue & spots of speckled brown patina. The only marking on the rifle is the S/N on the left side of the barrel. The bore is very good. Its beginning to darken with strong rifling. Barrel holds a barleycorn front sight with a ladder V-notch rear sight marked 5 to 24. the stock carries a steel buttplate, that's toned to a brown patina with spots of rust. The rifle has both bottom sling loops & has its cleaning rod. Rifle comes with a Toyoda Jidoshoki Seisakusho, under Nagoya supervision, type 30 bayonet & a leather type 38 Sling that has Japanese markings. Italian made rifle for the Japanese navy, made between 1938-39. these were made because all rifle manufactures in Japan were tied up making rifles for the army. Uses the Carcano action but everything else is like a type 38 Arisaka. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 150 to 300
