UNIQUE SET, Colt, 1873 Frontier Six Shooter, CAL: 44-40 WCF, MFG: 1902, SN: 232699, Single Action Revolver, 7 1/2'' barrel. The top of the barrel is marked ''COLT'S PT F.A MFG CO HARTFORD CT. U.S.A.''. The left side of the barrel is marked ''COLT FRONTIER SIX SHOOTER''. The left side of the frame is marked with the standard Colt patent dates. All matching SN on the frame, trigger guard & butt. This revolver was refinished at one time. The Stag horn grips are excellent, with nice figure & color. The reblued metal finish on the barrel rates 60%, with areas of thinning toned to a brown patina. The case-hardened frame retains faded, but visible case-colors. The trigger guard rates 95% & the cylinder rates 80%. There is intermittent rust spotting throughout the metal surfaces. Bore is good, with consistent roughness & light pitting. Integral small notch rear sight & blade front sight. This pistol is accompanied by a Tooled Money Belt circa 1890-1910 with loops for 44-40 (marked 44-40). The belt carries a Montgomery & Ward Co. ''Horse & Rider'' holster made circa 1915-25 & a well-made custom vintage knife sheath that holds an Edge Brand - Original Bowie Knife with Stag horn grips, made in Solingen Germany.
