Colt, New Service Model 1917 Army, CAL: .45, MFG: 1919, SN: 254158, Double Action Revolver, 5 1/2'' barrel. The wood grips are excellent, with minor contusions, scrapes & an added layer of finish or varnish. The metal blue finish rates 60% overall, with areas worn to metal gray & toned to a brown patina. There are clear buff marks on the right side of the frame & top of the barrel around the front sight. Potentially a front sight replacement? The bottom of the barrel is marked ''UNITED STATES PROPERTY'', the left side of the barrel is marked ''COLT D.A. 45'' & the top of the barrel has standard address/patent dates. The left side of the frame is marked with the Rampant Colt logo & a ''S20'' over eagle head proof mark. The butt is marked ''U.S ARMY MODEL 1917 NO 102179''. Bore is very good, with consistent roughness throughout. Integral u-notch rear sight & dorsal fin blade front sight. Lanyard loop present. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 500 to 800
