Webley, Mark VI, CAL: .455 Webley, MFG: 1915-23, SN: 283950, Double Action Revolver, 6'' barrel. The top left side of the frame is marked with (4) proof marks, ahead of ''MARK VI''. The left side of the frame below the cylinder is marked ''WEBLEY MARK VI PATENT 1917''. There are multiple broad arrow proof marks throughout the revolver. The SN can be seen on the rear of the cylinder, trigger guard & front side of the barrel above the tip-up swivel. The checkered hard rubber grips are very good & solid. There are a few minor edge chips along the front strap, with minor contusions & scrapes throughout. The metal blue finish has worn to a mix of metal gray & brown patina with thin, but visible blued tones. Bore is excellent, with consistent hazy/frost spots. Integral U-notch rear sight & elevated pinned blade front sight. Lanyard loop present. The cylinder locks up when the hammer is down & has a small amount of play. There is also a small amount of play in the cylinder when the hammer is cocked. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 300 to 500
