Description

Unknown Maker (Iver Johnson?), Defender, CAL: 22, MFG: 1880's, SN: 473 (under left grip), Single Action Revolver, 5'' barrel. The word ''DEFENDER'' appears on the top of the frame, but has been cut in half from someone carving a sight groove into the frame. The carved & stippled hard rubber grips are excellent. The frame & cylinder have basic floral leaf punch dot engravings. The metal finish has fully worn to gun metal gray, with consistent spotting toned to brown patina. Bore is fair, dark & rough, with pitting. Carved groove rear sight & blade front sight. Antique, No FFL Req. - Value: 50 to 150
