RARE & BOXED, Smith & Wesson, Model 520 ''.357 Magnum Military & Police'', CAL: 357 MAG, MFG: 1980 ONLY, SN: N560294, Double Action Revolver, 4'' barrel. These revolvers were originally ordered for the New York State Police, but never purchased or delivered. It is speculated that the contract was going to take too long to produce, so the NYSP looked into readily available firearms. These guns are usually found in NIB condition, as this example is. The S&W logo medallion checkered wood grips are excellent. The original metal blue finish rates 100% overall. The case-hardened trigger & hammer retain excellent case-colors. Bore is mint. Square notch rear sight & serrated blade front sight. Comes in SN matching box, with related paperwork, cleaning brush/rod & original packaging. FFL Req. - Value: 900 to 1200
