D,Armes Des Pyrenees Francaises (MAPF) (France), Model: M17 Unique, 3rd (Kriegsmodell) model, Cal: 7.65 Browning (.32 ACP), MFG: 1939-40, S/N: 53244, Semi-auto pistol, 3 1/4'' barrel.
HISTORY: This pistol has all the features of a 3rd model, Kriegsmodell Unique pistol other than having a external hammer, the pistol is also well within the S/N range of the 2nd ''Contract'' model. When Germany took over the factory, they did produce a un-altered version of the pistol & looked like the 2nd model. This pistol is possibly a transitional version of the pistol with the changed text, curved grip, & changed grips, but still has the internal hammer, making this a very rare find
CONDITION: The black plastic, grooved grips are very good with light wear & few small chips. Both grips are marked ''7.65M/M'', ''9 SCHUSS'', in a circle. The blued metal finish has fully coverage with a few spots of wear, scratches, & light patina/rust speckling in spots. The metal finish rates 85%. The left side of the slide is marked ''7,65 COURT 9 COUPS ''UNIQUE'', ''MANUFACTURE D'ARMES DES PYRENEES. HENDAYE.''. The right side of the frame is marked with the S/N, & a Waffenamt Proof mark. The bore is excellent. Bright & mirror like with little to no wear. The slide holds a blade front sight with small U-notch rear sight. Pistol comes with one mag. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 300 to 600
