Savage, Model 1917, CAL: .32 ACP, MFG: 1926, SN: 246938, 3 3/4'' barrel. The Mod 1917 is a variant of the Mod 1907 & was manufactured from 1920-26. The 1917 is easily distinguishable from the 1907 by the oversized trapezoid grips. The original Savage checkered plastic grips are good. The right grip has a few edge chips & a crack near the top. The left grip has one small edge chip, along with minor scrapes & dings. The original metal blue finish rates 95% on slide & 85% on the frame, with spotting, concentrated wear on the grip & sides of frame from holster wear. The trigger is case-hardened, worn to metal gray, with case-color shadows remaining. Integral rear notch & blade front sight. Spur hammer. Factory double-stack magazine. Last year production 1917.
