CASED, High Standard, 1980 Olympic Model, CAL: .22 SHORT, MFG: 1980, SN: USA0580, Semi Auto Pistol., 6 3/4'' barrel. In 1960, Bill McMillan used his High Standard Olympic model to win the rapid-fire competition at the 1960 Olympics. Later on, High Standard wanted to introduce a special series of pistols to commemorate his achievement. Therefore, 1000 1980 Olympic Commemoratives were produced. The checkered target wood grips are mint. The metal blue finish rates 99%+ overall. Gold tone trigger, safety, & mag release. The left frame flat is marked ''OLYMPIC'' & the left barrel flat is marked ''.22 SHORT'', with a trigger logo. The left side of the slide is marked ''HIGH STANDARD'' & the right side is marked with five intertwined Olympic rings. The right frame flat is marked ''USA0580'' and the right barrel flat ''HIGH STANDARD INC / E. HARTFORD, CONN. U.S.A.''.The gold tone filled lettering in fading in some spots. Gold tone trigger, safety, & mag release. Bore is excellent. Factory target sights. Comes in presentation hard case, with red interior & related paperwork.
