PARTS GUN, Fabrica De Armas La Vega Oviedo (Spanish), Model: M1871 Remington rolling block, Cal: .43 Spanish, MFG: 1876, S/N: None, Single shot rolling block rifle, 37'' barrel. This gun is missing some parts & does not function, & as such it is being sold AS IS with NO RETURNS ACCEPTED. This is a Spanish made gun not a Remington. Spain made Remington rolling block rifle under patent agreements with Remington at the arms factory in Oviedo. Some of the parts were made to different speciation's & are not interchangeable with Remington made parts. The straight wrist wood stock is very good with nicks, dings, dents, scratches, & wear from use/age. The forend is off another rifle & is not the correct length for this rifle. The right cheek of the stock is marked ''268780'', there is another line of number under the last mark, but they are worn & are illegible. The metal has toned to a dark brown/black patina with areas of pitting around & under the stock line. The right side of the receiver is marked with a crown over ''AR.O.'', ''1876''. The bore is very good, its bright with light roughness. The rear sight is missing its retention spring & other parts & the ladder is bent. Antique No FFL Req. - Value: 80 to 500
