Porto Alegre System Aydt Schuetzen rifle. Unknown caliber, but barrel measures between a .33 & .34 caliber. Barreled action with the stock & forend, all other internal parts are missing. Rifle has a Schnabel style forearm & a checkered German style buttstock with single hook buttplate & cheekpiece. Metal on barrel has fully toned chocolate brown, while the receiver appears to be case-hardened & has mostly worn gray with spots of patina & rust speckling. The top of the receiver is marked in gold inlay ''SYSTEM AYDT D.R.PATENTS'', the top of the barrel is marked ''JOAO MATUSCHECK PORTO ALEGRE''. The bore is good, with roughness & light pitting. The barrel has an integral rail for rear sight mounting & a dog ear front sight, with the right ear bent in. Sling provisions. Incomplete rifle being sold ''AS-IS with no returns.
