Yugo, Factory 44, Zavodi Crvena Zastava (Red Flag Works), M1948 Bayonet with sheath & frog. The blade has sheath wear & old grease. Other metal parts are bare metal with spots of cleaned pitting. The wood grips have small dings & wear. The left side of the blade is marked with a ''1'' in a box & ''MB'' in a box proofs, the top of the guard is marked with the same proofs. The right side of the blade is marked ''PREDUZECE'' in Cyrillic, over ''44''. The right of the guard is marked ''34540''. The left side of the guard is marked with more proofs. The sheath has light finish wear & scratches. Sheath is marked on the frog stud ''34540''. The leather sheath has no markings & has handling wear. The M1948 bayonet was a short version of the pre-War M1924 bayonet, made for their new M48 Mauser rifle, which was closely patterned after the German 8 mm. Mauser Kar 98k. Factory 44 would later turn into the Zastava Arms plant. Grade: Very Good ++ - Value: 40 to 100
