Turkish, Askari Fabrika, Shortened M1903 bayonet & sheath. The blade is bare metal with spots of light patina & cleaned pitting. The guard & pommel are bare metal & have spots of cleaned pitting. The spine of the blade is marked with a star. The top of the guard is marked with a star & a ''0'' with a horizontal line through it. The left side of the guard is marked ''6560''. The left side of the pommel is marked ''K''. The right side of the pommel is marked ''AS.FA''. The sheath has finish wear with multiple dings & dents. A shorted, German made M1903 bayonet. Bayonet appears to have been shortened at the Asfa Ankara factory in Turkey. The M1903 bayonet was made to fit Gew 98 Rifles that were sent to Turkey (the Ottoman Empire at the time) from Germany.
