Dutch, Artillerie Inrichtingen Zaandam, M1895 Mannlicher bayonet. The blade has been blued. Blade has light sheath wear, & a few small spots of rust. The guard & pommel have also been blued, & have spots of rust & finish wear. The wood grips have light wear. The left side of the blade is marked ''HEMBURG''. The right side is marked with a crown over ''Z'' proof. The right side of the guard is marked ''461 PP''. T-back sword bayonet for use on the 6.5 mm. M1895 Mannlicher rifle. Prior to 1905, M1895 bayonet production was by Steyr, W.K.C., and Coppel. In 1904, production began at Artillerie Inrichtingen in the Netherlands and continued until the Germans overran Holland in 1940, these were marked ''HEMBURG'' like the bayonet we have here. Early examples had a hooked lower crosspiece, but this was deleted beginning in 1900. Grade: Very Good ++ - Value: 80 to 160
