Description

FABULOUS Winchester, Model 1886 TAKE-DOWN, 45-70 WCF, MFG. 1903, SN: 130779, Lever Action Rifle, 26'' Octagon barrel, 1/2 mag. The original straight grip stocks are excellent, retaining nearly all of the original finish, with few tiny handling marks. The original metal blue finish on the barrel rates 97%, 95% on the receiver, with the lever & hammer being case-hardened & displaying beautiful & vivid case-colors. The sliding bolt retains a full 98% of its original bright blue. The barrel is fitted with a ladder rear sight & pinched blade front sight. Bore is excellent. Stock carries a checkered metal widow's peak shotgun buttplate. Comes with a Cody Winchester Factory Records Look-up Sheet, which confirms configuration & production dates. This rifle is an excellent example of an extremely high condition & collectible 1886. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 15000 to 25000
