Description

Winchester, Model 1894, CAL: 38-55, MFG: 1905, SN: 264690, Lever Action Rifle, 26'' Octagon Barrel. Full Mag. The original wood stocks are very good & solid. There are 1 1/2'' cracks on each side of the stock at the toe. There is also a tiny chip/sliver missing at the left corner shoulder wrist of the stock & a couple of larger scrape/gouges on the right side of the stock. There are also several minor handling marks, scratches & contusions to the once cleaned & finish added stocks. The barrel & mag retain 80% of the original factory blue finish, while the receiver original blue has worn mostly to a mix of gray, spotty thin brown patina & some remains of original blue in more protected areas. Bore is very good. The barrel holds the factory adjustable rear & small blade front sights. Buttstock carries a smooth crescent metal buttplate. A very nice & original 1894 rifle. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 1500 to 3000
