Description

Winchester, Model 94, CAL: 25-35 W.C.F., MFG: 1920, SN: 916610, Lever Action Rifle, 22 1/8'' Round Barrel. Full Mag. This rifle has been modified & currently presents as a short rifle. The rifle was damaged at the wrist, which required the upper tang to be braised to each side next to the hammer. The stock was likely broken & a Winchester shotgun butt style replacement stock was added. The rifle barrel & mag were was cut down to the current shortened lengths & a new front sight dovetail was cut. The replacement stock is good & solid, but does have some fit issues along the side of the upper tang. Much of the finish has dulled & there is some staining along the edge of the buttplate. The forend is very good & appears to be original, with minor scratches & contusions. The metal surfaces have worn mostly gun metal gray, with lots of rust pitting having been brush clean on the mag tub. Bore is very good, with some light roughness amongst strong rifling. The barrel holds an adjustable rear & tall blade front sights. Buttplate fits a bit proud to the metal. Not a collectors rifle, but a fun little converted short rifle to hunt with or shoot. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 300 to 600
