Description

Savage, Model 99, marked 300 Savage Cal., MFG: 1952, SN: 648609, Lever Action Rifle, 24'' Round barrel. The original checkered & capped pistol grip wood stock & Schnabel forend are very good, with several minor scratches, scrapes & contusions to the original thinning finish. The original metal blue finish on the barrel rates 70%, while the finish on the receiver has worn gun metal gray. The rifle barrel carries an updated full buckhorn rear sight & a ramped tall blade front sight. Factory tang screw holes are empty of screws. Bore is very good. The stock carries a Pachmayr ventilated recoil pad. Action remains smooth & tight. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 500 to 1000
