Description

Sporterized Rifle, Built from an Eddystone U.S. Springfield 1917 Action, CAL: 30-06, MFG:1918 (action), SN: 650640, Bolt Action Rifle, 24 1/2'' Round barrel. The custom cheeked, checkered & flat pistol grip wood stock is excellent, with little wear to the finish. The metal blue finish rates 85% overall. The barrel appears to be the original, with the sights upgraded to a commercial front ramp sight & a Redfield adjustable receiver sight. The rear portion of the receiver has been milled to remove the original military rear sight protective ears & recontour to a sportier appearance. The original trigger guard has also been narrowed for a more streamline shape & the floorplate has been polished silver. Bore is excellent. Stock carries a Jostam ventilated recoil pad. Detachable sling swivels. A very nice sporterized or custom military to hunter conversion. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 300 to 600
