Description

Sporterized Rifle, Built from a Nagoya Arsenal Type 99, CAL: 7.7x58mm Arisaka, MFG: 1939-45 (action), SN: 73707, Bolt Action Rifle, Cut down original round barrel to 23 1/2'' Round barrel. The repurposed cheeked & capped pistol grip wood stock is fair & solid, with a large amount of resin around the trigger plate, mag & behind the bolt at top of wrist to fill voids from original configuration of previous rifle. The right side of the stock has had much of the wood removed from drill press. Black textured step tape has been applied at the pistol grip & forend to add grip. Diamond inlays above mag on sides of stock filled with wood fill. Black forend tip. Despite the esthetics, stock is solid. There are some minor contusions, nicks & scratches. The metal surfaces were buffed, scrubbed to remove rust & carry a spotty gray/black finish over pitting. Fitted with a Bushnell Contrast Optics Elite 4200 scope on weaver mounts. The barrel carries a modified open rear sight on the original rear base & a plexiglass blade affixed to a ramp base, both sights use J.B.Weld to add stability. Bore is fair. Stock carries a Pachmayr ventilated recoil pad. Replaced & modified bolt handle. Appears to function correctly, but due to modifications, we recommend rifle visits a gunsmith before attempting to fire to confirm proper functionality, & is therefore being sold ''AS-IS'' with no returns. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 100 to 200
