Description

RARE DELUXE Winchester, Model 1890 2nd variation, .22 WRF Cal., MFG. 1907, SN: 330944, Pump Action Rifle, 24'' Octagonal barrel. The original, deluxe checkered & capped pistol grip wood stocks are excellent, with wonderful scalloped & feathered grain. The original finish is very good, thinning & flaking at the carry points. The checkering has rounded point from use & there are minor scuffs, scratches & contusions. The original blue finish is toning to a brown patina as it thins, with coverage on the receiver at 70%, 80% on barrel & mag, with brighter blue remnants in the protected areas around the sights. Barrel has a few nicks or edge abrasions. The rifle is fitted with a Lyman 103 windage tang sight, with large aperture disk. Barrel carries a Marbles blank filled rear dovetail & a Lyman No. 5B combination globe sight, with white bead. The bore is good, but with spots of roughness amongst strong rifling. Crescent metal buttplate. Tight smooth action. A fantastic deluxe rifle in original & highly collectible condition. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 4000 to 6000
