Description

Winchester, Model 90, Third Variation, CAL: 22 SHORT, MFG: 1920, SN: 654367, Pump Action Rifle, RARE 23'' ROUND BARREL. The original straight grip wood stock & corncob forend are good & solid. The original finish has mostly worn dull & there are two 1'' cracks on the right side of the toe & a 2'' crack at the bottom of the wrist emanating from the end of the lower tang. The stock also carries four diamond shaped, amateur cut checkering patterns. The stocks show some additional scratches, contusions & scrapes, with a couple of larger gouges on the left side of the lower stock. The original metal finish has worn mostly gun metal gray, with a thin brown patina in areas & spotty areas of rust pitting or speckling. Bore is fair, with spotty areas of roughness amongst worn rifling & scarred ring about 3'' from muzzle end. The barrel holds a standard rear & front sights. Buttstock carries a smooth crescent metal buttplate. Tight smooth action. Rarer single caliber short only rifle. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 200 to 400
