Description

Winchester, Model 1902, Early first variation, .22 Short & Long (not marked Extra Long like later examples) Cal., MFG. 1902-03, SN: None, Bolt Action Rifle, 18'' Tapered round barrel. The original wood stock is fair & solid, after a glued full break repair of multiple cracks at the wrist & a glued 4'' stress crack at the forend tip. There is a thin sliver of wood missing from the right edge below the bolt area. The stock appears to have been lightly sanded around the wrist repair. There are several minor handling marks, contusions & scratches. The metal blue has worn mostly gun metal gray, with a thin brown patina. Bore is poor, with lots of scarring & pitting. The barrel holds a fixed rear & small blade front sights. ''S'' trigger guard. Original metal buttplate. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 80 to 150
