Description

Winchester, Model 57 SCOPED, CAL: 22 LR, MFG: 1927-36, SN: 25754, Bolt Action Rifle, 22 1/4'' barrel. The flat pistol grip wood stock is excellent, with several small contusions, scrapes & scuffs to the original finish. The metal blue finish on the barrel rates 80%, 50% on the receiver & trigger guard which are toning to a brown patina in areas of loss. The rifle carries a factory installed Winchester A5 scope on correct Winchester mounts, as both barrel & receiver proof stamps are shifted to the left side to accommodate scope mount. The receiver holds the correct Lyman 55w aperture sight & the barrel has a flip-up single leaf rear sight & blade front sight. Bore is excellent & bright. Buttstock carries the original checkered metal buttplate. Original sling loops. Has original ''Winchester'' stamped detachable mag, with a follower which is stamped ''.22 LONG R.''. Fairly rare as only appx 18,600 produced & few carry the correct Winchester scope. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 2000 to 3000
