Hopkin & Allen, Model Junior, CAL. .22, MFG: 1890-97, SN: None, Falling block Takedown Rifle, 22'' Round barrel. This is an early Junior example, with ''The Merwin Hulbert & Co, Junior'' barrel marking. The straight grip wood stock is fair, having a 2.5'' x .5'' missing chip at the right wrist shoulder. The finish appears original, with numerous minor scratches, scrapes & contusions, The forend is excellent, as a newer replacement, with excellent finish. The metal has worn to a mix of gun metal gray & brown patina, with some remnants of original blue in more protected areas of the barrel. Bore is fair, with cleaned roughness amongst worn rifling. The barrel carries a fixed rear & fixed blade front sights. Stock holds a curved metal buttplate. Antique, No FFL Req. - Value: 50 to 150
