Description

The Hamilton Rifle Co. Model 27 (Tip-up Model), 22 CAL (S. & L.), MFG: 1907-30, SN: NONE, Single Shot, Tip-up Break Action Rifle, 14 7/8'' round barrel. 29 1/2'' overall length. The flat board, straight grip, walnut stained birch stocks are good & solid, despite two 2'' stress crack to the left side of wrist & one on the right side. The letter ''H'' is thinly scratched onto left side of stock. They carry the original finish, which is thinning from use & display a variety of scratches, dings & edge wear. The original metal blue finish has toned mostly to a brown patina, with some remnants of blue on receiver. Metal has speckled rust & a few abrasions on the receiver. Steel rolled barrel over brass bore liner, 6 groove bore with 1 turn in 15''. Bore is fair, with some rifling remaining amongst roughness. Half moon blade front & early rear sight combination. ''S'' shaped trigger guard. Original steel buttplate. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 70 to 140
