Description

Sierra Arms Co., A Japanese version of the Hamilton Rifle (Model 027), .22 LR, MFG 1965, SN: 003827, Break single shot rifle. 17.5'' Round barrel. A California import companies version of the Hamilton model 027 from Japan. They were not very successful as many dealers thought they were too cheaply made to withstand the .22 LR caliber they marketed to fire. They closely resembled the Hamilton 027, but they carried a walnut stained Monte Carlo shaped stock, had a longer step-down barrel & were fitted with an adjustable rear sight & more substantial front sight. The action remained the same, as did the brass barrel liner. The stocks on this example are very good & solid, with an added layer of finish over the original finish. The stocks display minor scuffs, scrapes or handling marks. The original metal blue finish rates 85 on the receiver, 70% on the barrel, with some rust patina on the barrel where flaking. Bore is good. Barrel carries original sights. Black rubber buttplate. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 100 to 200
