Description

H.M Quackenbush, Model No. 1 Quackenbush Air Gun, CAL: .210'' diameter Darts & slugs, MFG: 1893-1920, SN: NONE, Single Shot Rifle, 16.5'' barrel. The No. 1 started production in 1893 to around 1920, & was the first in a line of variations & modifications, those being the models. 2, 3, 4, 7, 9 & 10. This earlier version is without the wood forearm. The original straight grip wood stock is excellent & solid. There are minor contusions, scrapes & dings, with a thin added layer of protective oil over the original finish. There is a glue repaired chip at the back of comb against the buttplate. The original nickel finish has 90% remaining on the receiver 60% on the barrel, with worn mostly due to pump action & some flaking on the trigger guard. Bore is good. Fixed rear sight & small post blade front sight. Original metal buttplate. The pumping of the barrel is very stiff & the action no longer generates compression for a shot. A good looking example that needs some gunsmith adjustment or repair. Rifle is therefore being sold ''AS IS'' with no returns. No FFL Req. - Value: 40 to 100
