Winchester, Model M1 Garand, Cal: .30-06, MFG: 1943, S/N: 1325191, Semi-Auto Rifle, 24'' barrel. The semi-pistol grip walnut stock is excellent with only a few minor nicks, dings, light scratches & wear. The stock has no visible cartouches. The parkerized metal finish rates 85% overall with light wear & thinning. The rear of the receiver is marked ''U.S. RIFLE'', ''CAL. .30 M1'', ''WINCHESTER'', & the S/N. the top of the bolt is marked with ''D28287-1 W.R.A.''. The top of the operating rod handle is marked ''NM'', meaning its a replacement National match rod that fits tighter to the barrel leading to improved accuracy. The right side of the barrel is marked with a crown over ''VAR'', ''D 6535445 2-65 306'', crown over ''DK'', & a ''KOA'' in a circle. This is a replaced Danish made barrel, which are known for their amazing accuracy. The bore is very good, Its bright with strong rifling but has one small spot of light roughness. The barrel holds a blade front sight with protective wings. The rear of the receiver has a fully adjustable aperture rear sight. The stock carries a checkered steel trapdoor buttplate with lots of rub wear that has worn down the checkering & toned the buttplate to a gun metal gray. The trapdoor has a cleaning kit inside. Rifle has both sling swivels with the stacking loop & comes with a period correct green canvas sling. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 1300 to 2600
