Izhevsk, Model: M91/30 Finnish captured, Cal: 7.62x54mmR, MFG: 1940, S/N: LYE 3821 (NE3821 on barrel), bolt action rifle, 29'' barrel. The straight wrist, Finnish replaced stock is very good with various nicks, dings, scratches, & wear from use/age. The stock is a pre 1944, spliced round finger joint stock. The right cheek of the stock is marked with a ''Z'' in a circle with two arrows behind cartouche, which is unknown Finnish stock makers mark. The blued metal finish rates 85% on the receiver with wear/thinning & rust/patina speckling, & the barrel rates 80% with more wear/thinning & rust/patina speckling, especially near the muzzle. The left side of the receiver is marked with the S/N. the top rear of the barrel is marked with a hammer & sickle in a wheat wreath stamp, ''1940r'', the original Russian S/N, arrow in a triangle stamp, ''SA'' in a box Finnish army property stamp, & numerus other proof stamps. The right end of the barrel is stamped with import markings. The bolt is S/N matched to the barrel, while the magazine floorplate & buttplate are not matching. The bore is very good, its bright with consistent roughness throughout. The barrel hoods a post front sight with a protective globe, & a tangent U-notch rear sight marked 1 to 20. the stock carries a blued steel buttplate that's toned to a brown patina with spots of gunmetal gray from wear. Rifle has both Finnish sling swivels & has its cleaning rod. A excellent example of a Finnish captured M91/30. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 400 to 800
