Description

UNIQUE SET, Colt, 1877 ''Lightning'', CAL: 38LC, MFG: 1890, SN: 75071, Double Action Revolver, 2 1/2'' barrel. The top of the barrel is marked in two lines ''COLT'S PT F.A MFG CO HARTFORD CT. U.S.A.'' & the bottom of the barrels is marked ''38''. The left side of the frame has the standard three line patent dates. All matching SN on the frame, trigger guard & butt. The birdshead Stag grips are excellent. The metal finish has fully worn to metal gray, with thin brown patina. There is intermittent light pitting. Bore is very good & bright, with roughness & intermittent pitting. Integral v-notch rear sight & blade front sight. This gun is accompanied by an unmarked 45/70 hunting belt, it is 2 1/8'' wide & there is some cracking to the leather, mostly around the belt buckle holes. The belt carries an unmarked Native American multi-colored beaded holster & multi-colored beaded knife sheath, that holds an unmarked blade, with a multi-colored beaded handle. The blade is bright, but has been sharpened many times. A custom & unique set, perfect for a Native American or Colt collector. Antique, No FFL Req. - Value: 2000 to 4000
