Description

RARE, BOXED, Colt, Python, CAL: 357 MAG, MFG: 1965, SN: V42466, Double Action Revolver, 2 1/2'' barrel. The full-checkered, non-varnish Colt logo medallion grips are mint. The metal blue finish rates 100% overall. Bore is mint. Square notch rear sight & ramp elevated pinned blade front sight. Ventilated rib. Factory hang tag attached. Comes in original SN matching Colt wood grain box, with owners manual. Normal retail for an example such as this would be around $2100 BBGV. Collectors pay premiums for certain attributes, which this example has, such as: Add 20% for NIB condition, Add 50% for early production full checkered, non-varnish grips, Add 50% fir 2 1/2'' barrel w/ blue finish. The factory grease was wiped off this revolver for photography purposes. There is no room for improvement when it comes to condition. This is a minty Colt Python, highly desired by Colt Snake Gun collectors. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 2500 to 5000
