Description

Allen & Thurber, 6-Shot Pepperbox, CAL: 32, MFG: circa 1850's SN: 76 (under grips), Percussion Pepperbox, 3 1/4'' smooth bore barrel cluster. Double Action Only. The barrels are marked ''ALLEN & THURBER WORCHESTER'' & the left side of the hammer is marked ''ALLENS PATENT''. The frame & percussion cap shield display simple decorative engraving. The ivory grips are very good, with minor cracks around the screw head. The metal finish has fully worn to metal gray, with a thin brown patina & intermittent spotting/pitting toned to a brown patina. Bores are all fair, consistently rough, with intermittent pitting. No sights. Nipple condition is fair. Internal parts issue, the trigger, hammer & cylinder all function, but you cant pull the trigger back far enough for the hammer to come down to strike the nipple. Antique, No FFL Req. - Value: 400 to 800
