Description

Sharps & Hankins, Model 3B 4-Barrel Pepperbox, CAL; 32, MFG: circa 1860's, SN: 4891, Single Action Derringer, 3 1/2'' barrel. The top of the barrel cluster is marked ''ADDRESS SHARPS & HANKINS PHILADELPHIA.PENN'', the right side of the frame is marked in two lines ''C.SHARPS PATENT JAN 25 1859''. The SN can be seen on the butt. The original Gutta Percha grips are very good & solid. There are some contusions, scrapes & dings. The metal blue finish on the barrel cluster has worn to metal gray, toned to a brown patina & there are remnants of remaining blue on the frame, mostly worn to metal gray & toned to a brown patina. Bores are good, still somewhat bright, with roughness & pitting. Integral notch rear sight & small blade front sight. The rotating firing pin does not rotate when the hammer is cocked. Other mechanical operations appear to function properly. SOLD AS IS NO RETURNS. Antique, No FFL Req. - Value: 800 to 1600
