Description

CASED, Colt, 1851 Navy Ulysses S. Grant Commemorative, CAL: 36, MFG: 1971, SN: 4100USG, Percussion Single Action Revolver, 7 1/2'' barrel. The left side of the barrel is marked ''''ULYSSES S. GRANT COMMEMORATIVE NINETEEN SEVENTY-ONE'' & the top of the barrel is marked '' ADDRESS SAM L COLT NEW-YORK CITY''. The cylinder displays a crisp Naval ship scene, with the engravers name visible. The left side of the frame is marked ''COLT'S PATENT''. All matching SN can be found on the frame, barrel, trigger guard & butt. The wood grips are excellent, with minor scuffs to the finish. The metal blue finish on the barrel & cylinder rates 99%. The case-hardened frame & ram-rod retain excellent case-colors. The silver tone trigger guard is excellent, with minor spots of loss, toned blue. Bore is excellent. Small brass cone front sight. Comes in an English fit walnut presentation case with navy blue velvet lining, James Dixon & Sons bag style powder flask, ''L'' shaped nipple wrench, two cavity brass bullet mold, .36 cal balls & cap tin. Lid missing Colt medallion. 4750 MFG. Black powder, No FFL Req. - Value: 400 to 800
