CASED PAIR, Colt, 1860 Army U.S Cavalry Commemorative Set
1) Colt, 1860 Army, CAL: 44, MFG: 1977, SN: US1117, Single Action Percussion Revolver, 8'' barrel. The left side of the barrel is marked ''UNITED STATES CAVALRY COMMEMORATIVE''. The top of the barrel is marked ''ADDRESS SAM L COLT HARTFORD CT''. The left side of the frame is marked in three lines ''COLTS PATENT U.S''. The left side of the trigger guard is marked ''44 CAL''. The cylinder displays a crisp Naval engagement scene. Both grips have crisp ''MJH'' cartouches. All matching SN can be found on the frame, barrel, trigger guard & butt. The wood grips are excellent. The metal blue finish on the barrel & cylinder rates 99%. The case-hardened frame, hammer & ram-rod all retain excellent case-colors. Brass trigger guard is excellent, with a thin aged patina. Bore is excellent. Small brass blade front sight.
