Description

D.G.F.M.-(F.M.A.P.), Model: M1927 Aeronautica, Cal: .45 ACP, MFG: 1954, S/N: 87144, Semi-auto pistol, 5'' barrel.

CONDITION: the checkered wood grips are excellent. The blued metal finish on the slide rates 95% with light wear & scratches. The black phosphate finish on the frame rates 95% with light wear. The left side of the slide is marked ''D.G.F.M. -(F.M.A.P.)''. The right side of the slide is marked with a Argentina crest with wings, ''AERONAUTICA ARGENTINA'', ''SIST. COLT.CAL.11.25MM.MOD.1927'', the S/N & a faint electro pencil marking that reads ''-3834''. The top rear of the slide his marked with the S/N. The right side of the frame is marked with the S/N, ''3834'', ''.45 ACP'', & import markings. The bore is very good. Its bright with light roughness & light wear. The slide holds a blade front sight with a square-notch rear sight. Pistol comes with one 7Rd mag. FFL or C&R Req.

HISTORY: The M1927 Pistol is a licensed copy of the Colt M1911 made in Argentina. They were made to the same specs & quality as the colts, they are just as strong & are completely parts interchangeable. This one was issued to the Argentina Airforce evident by the Argentina crest with wings on the slide & the Aeronautica marking. Only 4285 air force Pistols were made making this pistol quite rare & collectable. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 500 to 1000
