Description

Walther, Model: P.38, Cal: 9x19mm, MFG: November 1962, S/N: 191668, semi-auto pistol, 4 7/8'' barrel. The checkered black plastic grips are very good with some scratched to the top of the right grip. The parkerized finish on the slide & barrel rates 90% with light scratches & light wear. The black finish on the aluminum alloy frame rates 97%. The left side of the slide is marked with a dot in circle proof stamp, ''WALTHER'' in banner, ''Carl Walther Waffenfabrik Ulm/Do'', ''P.38 Cal.9mm'', ''668''. The right side of the slide is marked with two proof marks, ''ERTD'', ''BELGRADE,MT'', ''11/62''. The left side of the frame is marked with the S/N & a dot in circle proof mark. The front of the barrel lug is marked with two proof marks & dot in circle proof mark. The dot in circle proof means the part was made to the higher specifications & quality of the Bundeswehr, but it does not mean it was issued to the Bundeswehr. The bore is Excellent. Its bright & mirror like with little to no visible wear. The pistol has a barleycorn front sight with a U-notch rear sight. Pistol comes with one Walther mag dated Feb 1960. a excellent example of a 1960's imported Walther P.38. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 400 to 800
